About LookupBSB
LookupBSB is a fast, free and independent way to check any Australian BSB number, built on the official directory and refreshed every month.
Why we built it
People check BSBs at stressful moments: paying an invoice, setting up a salary, or double-checking details they've been sent. The official AusPayNet lookup is accurate but built as a search form. We wanted a page for every BSB that answers "which bank is this?" in one line, works well on a phone, and shows when the data was last checked.
What we do
- Publish every BSB in AusPayNet's directory, with bank, branch, address, payment types and status.
- Update the data every month and record what changed.
- Keep closed and merged BSBs online, clearly marked, with the BSB that replaced them.
What we don't do
- We don't process payments or connect to any bank.
- We don't verify account numbers or account holders, and we never ask for them.
- We aren't affiliated with AusPayNet or any bank, and no bank pays to appear here.
How the site is funded
LookupBSB may show clearly labelled advertising. Ads never change the data, and they're kept away from the search box and results.
