Short version: BSB searches run in your browser and aren't stored. We never ask for account numbers or other banking details.

Searches

When you search, the site downloads a copy of the public BSB directory to your browser and looks the BSB up there. What you type is not sent to or stored on our servers.

Information we collect

• Server logs: our host records standard technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies and collects data such as approximate location, device and pages viewed.
• Advertising: we may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised ads at Google Ads Settings. Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
• Emails: if you email us, we keep your message and address to reply. Please don't send banking details.

Cookies and consent

The BSB lookup works without cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits; advertising cookies are only used once ads are switched on. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's certified consent message before personalised ads are shown; you can change your choice at any time from the "Privacy and cookie settings" link that message adds to the page.

What we don't collect

Account numbers, card numbers, PayIDs, passwords or banking logins. We don't sell personal information.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the BSB lookup still works without them. To ask about or delete information you've sent us, email hello@lookupbsb.com.
